Extra charges schedule.

The price you see in your quote is the all-in price for standard delivery. These are the specific circumstances where additional fees apply — every fee defined upfront, no surprises.

Standard hours: 7am–5pm Monday to Saturday, 8am–4pm Sunday. Anything outside these hours triggers an after-hours fee.

1. Delivery and logistics

Time-restricted delivery / collection

Applies when a specific narrow time window is required for delivery or collection, or when your venue has restricted access hours (e.g. council parks, schools, function venues). Prevents our logistics team from scheduling the route efficiently.

$150.00 / hour — each side of the booking window, as required.

Before / after hours

Applies when delivery, installation or pack-down is required outside standard operating hours.

Standard hours: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Mon–Sat) and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Sun).
$150.00 / hour — each side of the booking window.

Distance fee

Applies when equipment must be manually transported to a setup location that is not immediately adjacent to where our delivery vehicle can park. For "Supply Only" items, delivery is strictly to the front door, garage or loading dock.

Stairs / lift labour

Applies when equipment must be transported to an upper level via stairs or an elevator, requiring additional time and multiple trips by our staff.

No direct vehicle access (DVA)

Applies when heavy equipment (such as large marquees, outdoor dance floors or large water slides) requires direct vehicle access to the setup point but such access is unavailable, necessitating manual haulage.

Recollection / redelivery

Applies when a scheduled delivery or collection cannot take place at the nominated time (e.g. no one is present to grant access, or the site is unprepared). This fee is charged on a per-hour, per-person basis if the return trip cannot be incorporated into an existing delivery route.

Additional labour

Applies when extra staff time is required on-site beyond standard installation.

Supervised hire

Supervisor / operator on-site for the duration of your event.

2. Booking and cancellation

Last-minute booking surcharge

A 25% surcharge applies to all equipment booked within 7 days of the event start date. This covers the expedited logistics, administration and labour required to fulfill short-notice requests.

Postponement

If you postpone with more than 7 days' notice, no charges apply and a gift card is issued for the full value of your existing booking payments (valid 3 years).

If you postpone with less than 7 days' notice, a 25% fee of the total booking value applies (minimum $250). For larger bookings, additional labour is charged at $95/hour.

Cancellation

More than 7 days' notice: the 50% non-refundable deposit is forfeited; any balance paid is refunded.

Less than 7 days' notice (or on the day): all funds paid are forfeited and any unpaid balance becomes immediately payable.

3. Equipment condition and late return

Cleaning fee

Equipment must be returned in a clean condition. If equipment is returned unacceptably dirty (e.g. covered in mud, face paint or food debris), a minimum cleaning fee of $150.00 applies. Severe soiling may incur higher charges based on the labour required to restore the item.

Damage and repair

The Hirer is responsible for all loss or damage beyond fair wear and tear. If equipment is damaged, the Hirer is charged the cost of repairs. If equipment is lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair, the Hirer is liable for the full replacement cost.

Late return (dry hire / customer collection only)

For dry hire or customer-collected items, equipment must be returned by 3:30 PM on the final day of the hire period. Late returns incur additional costs calculated based on the losses incurred (additional hire fees, rescheduling costs and impact on subsequent bookings).

4. Administrative fees

Overdue payment interest

Invoices not paid by the due date accrue interest daily at 5% per annum above the 180-day bank accepted bill rate.

Debt recovery costs

The Hirer is liable for all costs incurred in recovering overdue payments, including legal fees, collection agency fees and administrative expenses.
