Respect on Site
POL-054 · Version 0.01 · 8 September 2026
Eetlust Pty Ltd | ABN 53 119 209 755
Our crew turn up to make your day a good one. Almost every job we do is a pleasure, and most people reading this will never need it. This page is here for the rare occasion when something goes wrong on a site, so that everyone knows where they stand before it does.
What you can expect from our crew
- They will arrive in uniform, introduce themselves, and tell you what they are doing and how long it will take.
- They will treat you, your guests and your children with courtesy, whatever the weather, the traffic or the state of the day.
- They will set up the equipment properly, walk you through the safety rules, and answer your questions in plain language rather than jargon.
- They will not commission a jumping castle until a competently trained supervisor is there and has been briefed. That is a safety requirement, not a formality.
- They are screened before they start, hold blue cards where required, and work to a published child safe code of conduct.
- They will not photograph your children without your consent, and never on a school site without the school's permission.
- If something is not right, they will tell you straight rather than leave you to find out later.
What we ask of you
Almost all of this is common sense, and most customers do it without being asked.
- Treat our crew with the same respect they show you. They are usually one or two people, often working in the heat, and often on a tight run between jobs.
- Have the site ready: clear access, the area free of furniture, pets and obstacles, and someone available to point the crew to where the equipment goes.
- Keep children and guests clear of the work area during set-up and pack-down. Blowers, leads, pegs and moving equipment are the most dangerous part of the day.
- Nominate your supervisor before we arrive, and have that person available at handover to take the safety briefing and sign it off.
- Make sure the supervisor stays sober and stays with the equipment for the whole hire. We cannot leave a castle running under someone who is not in a state to supervise it.
- Tell us about anything that affects safety, including a child with a disability or medical condition who will be using the equipment, so we can help you set it up well.
Where we draw the line
We have zero tolerance for abuse, threats, harassment, sexual harassment, discrimination, racism and violence directed at our crew. That is not a form of words. Every one of our workers has written authority to stop work and leave a site if they are being abused or threatened, without ringing anyone for permission first, and without any penalty to them for using it.
If that happens, we will:
- Arrange to collect the equipment separately, at a time of our choosing, and with police assistance if the circumstances call for it.
- End the hire and apply the cancellation terms in the Hire Terms and Conditions.
- Decline future bookings from the same customer.
- Report threats, assaults and property damage to the Queensland Police Service.
- Tell the school, venue or event organiser where the conduct happened on their site.
We would much rather never use any of that. Telling you plainly now is the best way to make sure we do not have to.
Children come first
Almost everyone who uses our equipment is a child, and their safety sits ahead of every other consideration in this business. We have zero tolerance for child abuse and harm of any kind, from anyone, on any site. Every concern is taken seriously, reported to the authorities, and acted on.
Our full commitment is set out in the Statement of Commitment to Child Safety, published on our website. If you are ever worried about a child in connection with our work, contact us, or go straight to the police on 131 444 or the Queensland child protection line on 1800 177 135. In an emergency, call 000.
If you have a concern about us
If one of our crew behaves in a way that falls short of what is set out on this page, we want to know, and you will not be brushed off. You do not need to be certain and you do not need evidence.
Contact Jason Weier, Director, on 1300 310 820 or jason@brisbanejumpingcastles.com. We will acknowledge it within two business days, tell you what we are doing, and come back to you with an outcome. Anything involving the safety or wellbeing of a child is handled under our published child safety complaints process, which has its own reporting obligations to police, child protection and, where a school is involved, the school.
Nobody is disadvantaged for raising a concern in good faith. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can take it to the Queensland Human Rights Commission on 1300 130 670, to Workplace Health and Safety Queensland on 1300 362 128, or to the police.
