Quote and Invoice Terms and Conditions

These Quote and Invoice Terms and Conditions apply to all quotations and invoices issued by Brizzy Jumping Castles and form part of any resulting Hire Contract with you, the Hirer. They summarise the terms most relevant at quote and invoice stage. The full terms are set out in the Hire Terms and Conditions (TCS-001), and all additional fees are set out in the Schedule of Extra Charges (FRM-002). Where these Terms and TCS-001 differ, TCS-001 prevails.

All pricing, fees and charges in these Terms are inclusive of GST.

1. Hire Periods

1.1 The hire period applicable to your booking is the period specified in your quote, invoice and Hire Contract. Charges are based on the selected hire period. The standard hire periods offered by Brizzy Jumping Castles are:

1.1.1 Up to 4 hours;

1.1.2 Up to 7 hours;

1.1.3 Overnight: 7 to 24 hours;

1.1.4 Weekend: 24 to 48 hours; and

1.1.5 Extended hire: each additional 24-hour period beyond the weekend hire, charged per 24-hour period.

1.2 Where the Equipment is kept beyond the selected hire period, additional charges apply as set out in these Terms and in the Hire Contract.

2. Delivery and Collection Windows

2.1 Standard delivery and collection is scheduled within our regular operating hours (9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday) and is routed alongside other bookings on the day by distance and setup size, which means we provide a delivery window rather than a guaranteed fixed time. We will always do our best to work in with your event timing. We may offer delivery the day before and collection the day after at no change to your hire length or cost.

2.2 Where you require a fixed, specific or otherwise non-flexible delivery or collection time, that is, a set day and time window that we must meet, additional charges apply. A guaranteed time slot requires us to route a dedicated vehicle and team to your location at a set time, which can then not be combined with other bookings. Where the available window for delivery or collection is less than 2 hours, this is charged as a Guaranteed Delivery Window fee per restricted leg (see clause 5.2).

2.3 Deliveries, collections, installation or pack-down required before or after our regular operating hours (9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday), and any such work performed on a Sunday or a Queensland public holiday, incur labour charges at the rates in clause 5.4. Any event starting or finishing outside 9am to 5pm requires either additional labour or overnight hire.

2.4 Non-flexible delivery or collection windows incur additional charges. If you require a fixed or guaranteed delivery or collection time, please advise us at the time of booking so we can quote and schedule a dedicated vehicle and team accordingly.

3. Pricing and Payments

3.1 All quotations unless specified are valid for a period of 30 days. We reserve the right to revise our pricing after this time. A quote does not reserve Equipment or dates.

3.2 All pricing INCLUDES GST.

3.3 A STANDARD non-restricted delivery and collection cost only is quoted unless otherwise noted. STANDARD and RESTRICTED delivery rates are defined in clause 5 and the Schedule of Extra Charges (FRM-002).

3.4 All pricing EXCLUDES supervisors and/or operators for any inflatable or fun food equipment unless noted. A competently trained supervisor must be present and actively supervising the inflatable whilst inflated for the full duration of the hire. You are welcome to supply your own supervisors and/or operators.

3.5 Payment terms. When your booking is payable depends on how far ahead of the event you book, measured from the event start date:

3.5.1 Booked more than 7 days before the event: a $250.00 non-refundable deposit is payable within 48 hours of the invoice being issued, and the balance is payable 7 days before the event. Where a card is held on file, the balance will be automatically charged on the date it falls due. Where a bank transfer is used, funds should be transferred at least 7 days before the event start date.

3.5.2 Booked inside 7 days of the event: the full amount is payable 48 hours before the event.

3.5.3 Booked inside 48 hours of the event: the full amount is payable immediately, at the time of booking. Bookings made within this period also attract the Last Minute Booking Fee in clause 5.6.

3.5.4 A quote does not reserve Equipment or dates. A booking is secured only once an invoice has been issued and the deposit, or full payment where clause 3.5.2 or 3.5.3 applies, has been received. Where payment is not received within the time stated, the Equipment may be released.

3.6 Payment in full is a condition of delivery. Where your booking has not been paid in full by the day before the event, we will not deliver or release the Equipment. This applies regardless of when the booking was made and regardless of any amount already paid. A booking which remains unpaid at that time is treated as a cancellation with less than 7 days' notice under clause 7.2, and all monies paid are forfeited.

3.7 All inflatables are delivered, set up and packed down by Brizzy Jumping Castles. This is a condition of our public liability insurance, and inflatables must not be set up, relocated or dismantled by the Hirer. Helpers on your side cannot substitute for chargeable labour. Fun food machines are left with the Hirer after a handover demonstration to a responsible adult. Delivery and collection takes place adjacent to a location where our delivery vehicle can park and will only be to a front door, garage or loading dock. Delivery to other areas including a rear yard, up stairs, verandah or any distance not adjacent to where our delivery vehicle can park will incur additional fees.

3.8 All pricing is based on a delivery and set up time between 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday. Where set up or pack down is required to commence or end before or after these times, or falls on a Sunday or Queensland public holiday, the labour rates in clause 5.4 apply.

3.9 Only approved customers associated with schools or organisations that may have pay runs outside of these terms will be granted the ability to pay outside of these Terms and Conditions. They will have completed the appropriate documents and been approved.

3.10 Quotations are prepared on the basis of a standard installation, being a booking requiring up to three blowers, and on the basis of a grass installation surface for any inflatable which persons occupy (clause 4.7). Bookings requiring four or more blowers attract an Additional Crew: Multi-Unit Setup fee under clause 5.5.

4. Delivery

4.1 Delivery fees are based on distance travelled from the Brisbane CBD to the setup location, charged at an $80.00 flat fee plus $2.50 per kilometre, with zoned locations at set prices. Website quotes use the published postcode fees; unlisted postcodes are confirmed manually. Delivery fees auto generated from our website are only indicative of a regular sized hire booking that can be routed with other equipment. Bookings where all or the majority of a vehicle are required to deliver or collect equipment will incur additional costs. Areas outside of our regular delivery zone are calculated on a per hour, per person basis at the rates in clause 5.4.

4.2 Unless alternative loading and unloading instructions have been agreed upon, all event hire equipment includes standard delivery and collection only, whereby the Equipment is delivered and collected adjacent to a location where our vehicle can park. Equipment will only be delivered to a front door, garage or loading dock. Delivery to other areas including a rear yard, up stairs, verandah or any distance not adjacent to where our delivery vehicle can park will incur additional fees.

4.3 Equipment must be placed in a similarly accessible location at the agreed collection time or the Hirer shall be charged an additional fee.

4.4 Stair and lift fees auto generated from our website are only indicative of a single trip from ground level to an elevated level. Bookings where multiple trips from ground level are required will incur additional fees.

4.5 Pricing is based on regular business hours delivery (9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday) and DOES NOT include after hours deliveries, Sunday deliveries, public holiday deliveries, or deliveries outside of these times unless otherwise noted.

4.6 We do not currently offer a pick up or collection service from our warehouse.

4.7 Installation surfaces and anchoring. Any inflatable which you or any other person occupies, including jumping castles, slides and obstacle courses, is installed on grass only and is anchored with pegs, being the anchoring method for which the equipment is engineered and certified. We do not install such equipment on concrete, pavers, bitumen, tiles or indoors. Weights are not offered as an alternative anchoring method for these items: each anchor point requires restraint in the order of 160 kg, which across a single unit exceeds one tonne of ballast, and we have made a considered decision not to offer weighted installation for occupied inflatables. Games and activities which no person occupies may be installed on hard surfaces and are secured with weights, for which the Weighted Installation fee in clause 5.12 applies. You must advise the intended installation surface at the time of booking. Where the site is found on arrival to be unsuitable under this clause, we may refuse installation and the fee remains payable.

5. Fees

5.1 Deposit and balance. A $250.00 non-refundable deposit secures your booking once an invoice has been issued and the deposit received within 48 hours of the invoice being sent, with the balance due 7 days before the event. Bookings made inside 7 days of the event are payable in full 48 hours before the event, and bookings made inside 48 hours are payable in full at the time of booking. Equipment is not secured until payment is received in accordance with clause 3.5, and no delivery is made where the booking is unpaid on the day before the event (clause 3.6).

5.2 Guaranteed Delivery Window. Applies per restricted leg where the available window for delivery or collection is less than 2 hours, or where a specific committed time is required, as we need to route a particular vehicle and team to a set location at a set time (that can then not be routed with other bookings). Charged as a flat fee per restricted leg: $150.00 where the window falls inside standard hours (9am to 5pm, Mon to Sat) and $195.00 where it falls outside these hours. A guaranteed delivery and a guaranteed collection are charged as two separate fees. The minimum committed window is 2 hours; we do not commit to a single point in time, and the window must allow enough time to complete installation and the safety check. Previously described as the Time Restricted Delivery/Collection Fee.

5.3 Before/After Hours Delivery/Collection Fee. Applies where delivery, collection, installation or pack-down is required before or after our regular business hours (9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday), or on a Sunday or Queensland public holiday. Charged per hour at the rates in clause 5.4. Does not apply to fun food.

5.4 Labour and Supervisor Rates. All labour and supervision referred to in these Terms is charged per hour from the table below. The rate band is set by the day and time the work is performed on site, not the time of booking. Where a job crosses a band boundary, each portion is charged at its own band rate. Public holiday rates apply for the whole of a Queensland public holiday regardless of the hour.

5.5 Additional Crew: Multi-Unit Setup. Applies to bookings requiring four or more blowers, which require a second crew member for delivery, setup, safety check and pack-down. Charged once per booking, calculated on the total number of blowers on the order as the number of blowers multiplied by half the applicable hourly labour rate in clause 5.4, using the band that applies at the time of delivery. It is not charged again at pack-down. Every blower the order requires is counted: a 15-metre obstacle course runs two blowers and counts as two. Full rates are set out in the Schedule of Extra Charges (FRM-002). Common examples:

Above 12 blowers, the fee is calculated at half the applicable hourly labour rate per blower. The full table to 22 blowers is set out in the Schedule of Extra Charges (FRM-002).

5.6 Last Minute Booking Fee. A 25% last minute booking fee applies to all equipment booked within 48 hours of the Event Start Date, covering the expedited logistics, administration and labour required for short-notice requests. Bookings made within this period are also payable in full at the time of booking under clause 3.5.3.

5.7 Postponement Fee. Applies where a booking has been postponed with less than 7 days notice to the event hire start date. A further $250.00 applies within 48 hours of delivery where equipment has been moved or loaded for the booking.

5.8 Distance Fee. Applies where equipment must be manually transported more than 50 metres to any location other than adjacent to where our vehicle can park. Charged per hour at the rates in clause 5.4.

5.9 Stairs/Lift Labour Fee. Applies where equipment is required to be transported to an upper level (one instance only, multiple trips incur additional fees). Charged per hour at the rates in clause 5.4.

5.10 No DVA Labour Fee. Applies where water slides, inflatables or other equipment do not have direct vehicle access to the set up point, and covers additional labour to transport components. Charged per hour at the rates in clause 5.4.

5.11 Supervisors and Operators. Charged at the supervisor rates in clause 5.4, with a minimum of 4 hours per supervisor or operator. Events more than 100 km from the Brisbane CBD attract an additional $1.50 per km for each km beyond 100 km.

5.12 Weighted Installation. Applies where a game or activity is installed on a hard surface (concrete, pavers, bitumen, tiles or indoors) and must be secured with weights instead of pegs. Charged at $25.00 per weight. Most games and activities require 4 to 6 weights, so the fee is typically $100.00 to $150.00. The number of weights required is determined by the item, the surface and the site conditions, and is confirmed at the time of booking. Not available for any inflatable which a person occupies, see clause 4.7.

6. Postponement Policy

6.1 Due to a limited quantity of Equipment and said Equipment having been allocated for you, we request that you provide as much notice as possible before postponing any bookings to allow us to potentially re-hire the allocated Equipment.

6.2 Should the Hirer POSTPONE part or all of their booking with MORE than 7 days available to the commencement of the Period of Hire, no charges apply and a gift card will be issued to the full value of your booking payments, for use within a period of 36 months.

6.3 Should the Hirer POSTPONE part or all of their booking with LESS than 7 days available to the commencement of the Period of Hire, a $250.00 (Two Hundred and Fifty dollars) fee applies. We reserve the right to increase the postponement fee based on the size of the booking and in such case, this will be charged at the labour rates in clause 5.4 for any additional labour. The fee will come off the hire gift card total value. Where the postponement occurs within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery and equipment has already been moved or loaded into vehicles for the booking, a further $250.00 fee applies.

6.4 Postponement fees are inclusive but not limited to postponements relating to acts of God, natural disasters, weather, sabotage, accident, trade or industrial disputes, terrorism or hostilities and government imposed shutdowns. The Owner in its capacity reserves the right to waive the postponement fee at its own discretion.

7. Cancellation Policy

7.1 Should the Hirer CANCEL part or all of their booking with MORE than 7 days available to the commencement of the Period of Hire, the $250.00 non-refundable deposit is forfeited and the remaining balance (if paid) shall be refunded or credited.

7.2 Should the Hirer CANCEL part or all of their booking with LESS than 7 days available to the commencement of the Period of Hire, all monies paid are forfeited.

7.3 Should the Hirer CANCEL part or all of their booking ON THE DAY or at the commencement of the Period of Hire, all monies paid are forfeited and where a balance payable is due, those funds become immediately payable.

7.4 Weather Events. Where equipment has been delivered and weather does not permit the event to take place, no refunds or gift cards will be issued.

7.5 Cancellation fees are inclusive but not limited to cancellations relating to acts of God, natural disasters, weather, sabotage, accident, trade or industrial disputes, terrorism or hostilities and government imposed shutdowns. The Owner in its capacity reserves the right to waive the cancellation fee at its own discretion.

8. Supervision and Safety

8.1 Where we supply a supervisor or operator, their role is limited to the safe operation of the equipment: applying the safety rules, controlling entry and exit, monitoring the blower, anchoring and weather, responding to any deflation, and suspending or ceasing operation on safety grounds. That decision is final.

8.2 Our supervisors are not first aid officers, carers, guardians or babysitters. They do not supervise children generally, and they do not assess whether any person is competent, fit, able or medically suitable to use the equipment, including by reference to age, size, disability, medical condition, injury or pregnancy. Those decisions rest with you and with each user's parent or guardian.

8.3 You must have a responsible adult present at all times, provide first aid and emergency response, decide who may use the equipment, and supervise all children present. Where we do not supply a supervisor, you must appoint a competent adult to supervise the equipment continuously while it is inflated and in use.

8.4 The equipment must not be operated above the maximum wind speed it is rated for, or in storm or lightning. Suspending or ceasing operation for safety is not a failure to supply, and no refund, credit or gift card is issued.

8.5 Use of inflatable amusement devices carries an inherent risk of injury that cannot be eliminated even when the equipment is correctly installed, operated and supervised. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for injury or loss arising from use of the equipment, from any decision to permit a person to use it, or from the absence or timing of first aid.
